General Assistance

If you believe you are in need of financial or emergency assistance, stop by the Town Office to fill out an application. Once completed, someone will contact you within 24 hours to schedule an appointment to review your application.

Hours are Monday - Thursday, 9am to 4pm and Fridays 9am to 11am.

By state law, applicants age 25 or less are the financial responsibility of their parents (if the parents have the financial means).

Applicants must provide evidence of earnings and expenses. Bring copies of pay stubs, bills paid and bills due. Bring documentation of any medical conditions.

Most applicants who receive General Assistance are required to complete work fare for the town.


You can click on the image to the right to down load a blank application. Once the application is complete you must print it and bring or mail the printed copy to the town office. Your appointment will be scheduled within 24 hours after your application has been received. Be sure to sign your application.
