Our Code Enforcement Officer is

Fred Collins Jr.

He is also our Building Inspector, Plumbing Inspector, Electrical inspector and Administrative Assistant to the Planning and Appeals Boards. He is the person that enforces the Mechanic Falls Zoning and Land Use Ordinance, Shoreland Zoning, Floodplain Management, the National Fire Protection's Life Safety Code, the Maine State Plumbing Code, the Maine Subsurface Wastewater Disposal Rules and any Maine State Laws pertaining to land use. 

 

Our Fire Inspector is

Matthew Fifield

He is responsible for enforcing the National Life Safety Code and Fire Prevention.

 

Call ahead at 345-2221 or email ceo@townofmechanicfalls.com before doing any building or structural repairs, plumbing or wiring, or before opening any form of business. Fred has access to a wealth of information and is a valuable resource to citizens with questions. A call ahead of time saves a lot of headaches after the fact!

 Office hours are Mondays and Tuesdays 8AM-Noon and 1PM-5PM, Wednesdays 8AM-Noon, Thursdays 8AM-Noon and 1PM-5PM, and Fridays 8AM-11:30AM
